do i put the cream after stitches are out or when they are still in?Hi i just got 5 stitches last night, what cream should i use? when should i use it after stitches come out or?
Make sure you can use creams on it as normally they advise you not to put anything on it for a couple of weeks after the stitches are out - do not put anything on it when the stitches are in. After this Vitamin E cream is good as its supposed to lessen scarring.Hi i just got 5 stitches last night, what cream should i use? when should i use it after stitches come out or?
Unless the doctor told you not to put anything on it, neosporin is a good choice. Keeping the wound moist with an antibiotic ointment will help it to heal faster. You can use this while the stitches are still in and afterwards.

Also, eating healthy food and/or taking a daily multivitamin can help it to heal faster. The most important thing is to keep the area clean and if any sign of infection crops up (pain, excessive redness, drainage, or swelling) see your doctor right away.
Don't put anything on it unless the Dr told you to. When you get the stitches out use either Bio oil or pure cocoa butter.
