Night cream vs. daily moisturizer... what's the difference?
is there a difference between the two? i'm trying to find a good night cream that will help firm up my skinNight cream vs. daily moisturizer... what's the difference?
Yeah, night creams usually contain stuff that ';works'; on your skin at night. (like by firming, getting rid of wrinkles, making you look younger) Where as daily moisturizer is typically just a quick %26amp; light moisturizer %26amp; contains sunscreen. Olay makes really good night creams %26amp; moisturizers.Night cream vs. daily moisturizer... what's the difference?
The first answerer is right, to the best of my knowledge.

Are you putting on your daily facial moisturiser ,,or your night cream now?
Nope, - I've just got up so will look silly with it on my face at work, won't I? =)Are you putting on your daily facial moisturiser ,,or your night cream now?
Nah.. I'm eating a big juicy satsuma right now.... With an avocado face mask on! :)
Have you lost your bed too, angel? lol
EDIT - Speak for yourself, angel.. I've got to get up at 7am every morning to get my kids up for school then drop them off..
Mind you..... I do have a nap late morning/early afternoon with my 2 youngest kids.. Thats probably why I can never get to sleep at night! lol
And YES... It does count as 2 of my 5 a day.. :pAre you putting on your daily facial moisturiser ,,or your night cream now?

In 'The Apprentice' last night they invented new flavours of ice cream. What new flavour would you invent?
something with cinnamon maybe cinnamon apple, and definitley a champagne and strawberries variety. How about you?In 'The Apprentice' last night they invented new flavours of ice cream. What new flavour would you invent?
The most amazing flavour of ice cream i have ever seen is in my nearest local supermarket, there was Foie Gras ice cream. Haven't tasted it yet as it's really expensive. If i could invent a new flavour I'd like to try and make a chili pepper ice cream or something along the lines of chili concarni as i love those hot little red chili peppers, i don't know if it already exists somewhere but i kind of like the idea of a cool ice cream made with a hot ingredient like chili and wonder what it would taste like.In 'The Apprentice' last night they invented new flavours of ice cream. Coconut Lime or Margarita. Yum!
By the way, Lavender IS edible and I do believe that I saw something on the Food Network once where some gourmet ice cream place actually has Lavender flavored ice cream.
Yummy

Mint Ice cream w/ anchovies steak tar tar and pringles w/ olive oil.

Are there any homemade over-night creams that I can try for acne treatment?
Does anyone have a recipe that isn't too abstract for a mask or facial cream to leave on over-night that will help with my acne and/or complexion? I try and wash my face every night, but I want to do something more! All answers are appreciated! Are there any homemade over-night creams that I can try for acne treatment?
lemon juice with pinch of salt and few drops of honeyAre there any homemade over-night creams that I can try for acne treatment?
Ok this might sound kinda strange, but toothpaste (crest, aim, colgate ect.) will work good to take down the redness and puffiness of a zit or blemish...I don't know why it works, but it does....I was like WHAT this can't work! but I tried it and it DOES work! I really hope this helps! =)
This isn't over night, but I hope it helps!
3 tbsp honey
8 strawberries OR 1/2 an apple
2 tbsp oatmeal
Mash the strawberries or grate the apple. Add the honey and oatmeal. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Do NOT use this more than once a week!!
raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar
to open the pores and loosen dirt and grease from your face turn off the heat from a pan of distilled water, add 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar to a quart of the hot water. drape a towel over the pan and your head to steam clean your pores. take a cotton ball, dip in vinegar and pat over skin to remove loosened dirt. repeat 2 more times. then spray or dab on chilled vinegar and equal part of distilled water to close your pores and tone your skin. do twice weekly, also can use the chilled vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily.
it is amazing ....
raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar
use this apple cider vinegar for rejuvenating results. first, wash the skin in warm water, no soap. next, apply a wrung out hot water soaked cloth to the face for 3 minutes, then remove. soak thin cloth in warm vinegar water 2 tbsp per cup of water and again apply to face. cover the vinegar soaked cloth with a towel wrung out in hot water, relax and lie down for 10 minutes or more, if possible with feet elevated above head. remove both cloths and gently rub skin upwards with towel or small loofah face pad. this rub removes the hundreds of dry skin scales. you can repeat this weekly or as needed. your skin will look youthful and beautiful..
i also drink the vinegar, 1-2 tablespoons in water with honey in the morning..and i use the vinegar water as a toner 2 times daily..
good luck

Also be confident in yourself and trust in yourself if you do you wont really care about what others think! GOOD LUCK!!

I ate a whole little 1 pint carton of chocolate ice cream last night!?
I usually eat really healthy. But last night I had a craving for chocolate ice cream. I never ever eat junk food. Is it bad do you think to eat like that once in a while???
I dont wanna gain weight. I know that probably sounds dumb, but anyway...
Thanx!!! :)I ate a whole little 1 pint carton of chocolate ice cream last night!?
Sweetie I ate a whole Ben and Jerry's Mint Chocolate cookie thing the other night, didn't gain an ounce! Just make sure this doesn't become a habit and it's a rare thing! Or, when you splurge like that, put in extra time at the gym.
You'll be ok, lol. Everyone deserves a treat now and then! If you find the whole pint hard to resist, get one of the little serving size cups. They are just one serving and will satisfy your cravings!I ate a whole little 1 pint carton of chocolate ice cream last night!?
It's okay to have chocolate ice cream every once in a while, but the whole carton? No.
A 1 pint carton of ice cream is supposed to last you about two weeks.
Next time, try to follow the serving size.
Seriously... even eating it couple times a week isnt bad for you!! Just don't make it a habit. Or don't pig out. I'm sure your hot. Can I have a preview?

My acne cream says to use at morning AND night but what if I use it on night only?
Will it work still? My acne cream says to use at morning AND night but what if I use it on night only?
It will definitely still work it just may take a little bit longer. It's probably a better idea to use it once a day because using it twice a day might dry out your face and make it irritated. My acne cream says to use at morning AND night but what if I use it on night only?

Can you leave cream cheese out all night to soften?
I wouldn't. It doesn't take long to soften - a couple hours probably. If you are really pressed for time and have a microwave, you can take foil off and microwave on 50% power for short durations. Can you leave cream cheese out all night to soften?
I would not leave it out all night. Bacteria will start to grow after being left out for 20 minutes on anything perishable. All you have to do is nuke it for about 30 seconds out of the wrapper. Can you leave cream cheese out all night to soften?
yes
Oh yeah! sure! and when you get sick and have to sit in the hospital on thanksgiving while throwing up constantly we'll all miss your wonderful questions.......
An hour or two I'd say yes; all night, probably not.
Yes you can make sure it is an airtight bowl as not to get bacterias in it.
No, don't leave it out all night. If you need to use it in the morning, take it out as soon as you get up - it will be soft within an hour or so. Anything dairy shouldn't be left out all night. It isn't healthy.
no, I wouldnt do that. It will only take 15 or 20 minuters to get soft. If you leave it out over night it might spoil.
well yes you could leave it out all night if you woke up early to get it.
I wouldn't leave it out, it really doesn't take long to get soft. Simply take it out and leave that item last if possible and it will be ready for you.
no. but you can put it in a bowl and mix it with a mixer
no it shouldn't be out over 4 hours!
It doesn't need to take that long to soften. Generally one or two hours should do the trick. Some people will leave things like that and butter out all night, because they are old fashioned, but I wouldn't take the risk of it going bad. Better to be safe than sorry! Just set it out as soon as you wake up. :-)

Whats the benefits of night cream?
When ppl get older, their face needs more moisture--so you'll see the ';older'; women say 30ish plus using this. Although women younger will too if they suffer from dry skin.
Basically, its usually a cream added w/ anti-aging stuff or no spf that you appy to your face after washing your face at the end of the day.
You wash it off in the morning, and reapply the ';day cream';Whats the benefits of night cream?
I would say for intense moisturization. Night creams are usually more ';heavy formulated'; than so-called ';day creams';. In my opinion, however, night creams are pretty much unnecessary if the moisturizer you are using during the day works well for you.Whats the benefits of night cream?
To maintain yr skin rejuvenates and stays young looking.....
It relaxes you and makes your skin better in the morning .Putting cream in the night does a benefit
Most night creams claim that they maintain your skin's elasticity, rejuvenates your skin, minimizes your pores, helps keep your skin soft and supple and prevents age lines (aka wrinkles).revlon hair dye

Does 24 y/o oily skin need night cream?
i read somewhere that after 30, the skin gets drier and mostly likely it is necessary to begin using night cream to keep the skin elastic and hydrated...so do i really need a night cream? is it for better or for worse? does it exacerbate acne prone/oily skin?Does 24 y/o oily skin need night cream?
You are right about your skin when you age the skin gets drier and that is when you need a night cream the most. Not just for drying but for aging and to maintain pore size. At night your skin is renewing itself and that is why we have night creams. There are Non-Comedogenic night creams out there that will not clog pores and will help the oilyness and acne. They will help in your favor. : )Does 24 y/o oily skin need night cream?
Oily skin does need to be moisturized, or else it will provide its own and get even more oily.
Even though you are only 24, it's only a few years before you'll notice those wonderful smile lines or crow's feet. It's better to prevent than to try and turn back the clock. Get yourself an oil free anti-aging lotion of some kind. Once those lines show up, it's hard to get them to improve short of cosmetic surgery or botox.
Best to take care of your skin early. They have creams for all skin types you just have to look.
Be sure to put sunscreen on your face uunder your make up everyday and when you get to your 30's your skin with thank you.
I would not use a night cream if I were you. It will only make your skin greasy. You should wash your face with Ivory soap and rinse it well and pat dry.
I have acne and skin is starting to dry out.
In the AM I use
1) Proactiv cleanser
2) Antibiotic topical solution I get by prescription
3) A moisturizer based on how dry my skin is. If it is really dry I use moisturel. If it is not dry I use lubrederm
At bedtime I use
1) Dove cleansing towels
2) Antibiotic topical soln
3) Proactiv repairing lotion (It bleaches fabric, so that is why I wear it at night and not in the day.
no
Try using a very mild soap ONLY and go real easy on makeup. Your skin will naturally improve in a couple weeks. You will become very oily and nasty in that time though.
you have to have a non-oily cream, or you will break out, us ebella pierre' s cream, or go to pharmacy and look for non-oily
No,forget the night cream. The best thing you can do for your complexion other than keeping your face clean, is to drink lots of water. Water keeps your skin hydrated from within and you will stay younger looking for a long time.
Another tip, do not put your hands on your face unless it is to wash it. Your hands have all kinds of bacteria on them, don't want that on your skin. And another thing, be careful about your boyfriends hair or skin touching your face. Acne prone skin can be triggered from even that. Wash face after cuddling. Is true.
I have very oily and sensitive skin. The only product that works for me is Proactive Solution.
I wouldn't recommend putting other creams on unless it is specifically for oil control.
Most creams will make your skin even more oily. That's only from my experience, everyone is different.
If you haven't seen changes in your skin for the worse, I wouldn't try anything that might cause a problem.
I just clean my face with the 3 Proactiv products and it works great for me.
Old saying ';If it ain't broke, then don't fix it';.
Good luck. :^)
You might want to put something under your eyes to prevent wrinkles, because there's no oil glands there. Other then that at your age with oily skin, you're better of keeping your pores clear so no, don't use a night cream.
no, but try to get into the habit of drinking lots of water, it will pay off over the years.
keeping your skin hydrated is always important. There are moisturizers specifically for your skin type. I REALLY recommend ';cetaphil'; lotions. They are great at moisturizing without causing breakouts.
you shouldnt unless you bake in the sun or have dry skin.

What should I use, for night cream and day cream.......flaky dry facial skin?
best facial moisturizer for extremely dry sensitive skin, anti-aging benefits (i'm almost 30 years old)? What should I use, for night cream and day cream.......flaky dry facial skin?
First of all this is not a joke. Go to a farm supply store or call one. Ask them if they have the real product that is used on cows udders that is referred to as udder balm. (some stores have a product that is marketed as udder balm but is made for humans, this stuff is the real deal that I am describing) This is the best cream you will ever find for dry skin and almost nobody except farmers know this. This stuff is so good that if you have cracked skin from winter weather it will heal your hands even if you work outside. It usually comes in a pretty big jar because the people buying it need more than just a little so if you get some, also get some nice little containers to put it in and place them where you are likely to see them and use them often. This stuff does not have all of the crap in it that other creams have in order to enhance its sales such as perfume or whatever. It has almost no scent and what it has is a nice scent. It is not expensive. It is absolutely not toxic. And my daughter who is very fair skinned and sensitive isn't bothered by it at all. Try it you will love it. If you do, share it with all of your family and friends, they will thank you for it.What should I use, for night cream and day cream.......flaky dry facial skin?
If you want great products that you can really count on and see the best results I recommend Estee Lauder products.

I used an acne spot cream on my face last night, and when I woke up my face was red and itchy! What can I do?
I rubbed it all over my face!I used an acne spot cream on my face last night, and when I woke up my face was red and itchy! What can I do?
Use calamine lotion on your face (after giving it a good wash to get rid of any cream residue) and let the skin calm down. Bin the cream!;
If its really bad and showing signs of blistering, then get medical attention;I used an acne spot cream on my face last night, and when I woke up my face was red and itchy! What can I do?
i would stop using it thats ,i think that a form of an allergic reaction
try using some benadryl cream on you face you may have been allergic to it or you may have a sensitive face
Don't use it again because you skin is to sensitive. Try using some cortisone cream to clear it up and then go find something for sensitive skin and do a spot test before putting it on your whole face.
B Q I am no expert, but it seems by what you said that ,that cream you used on your face ,has something (a chemical) that caused you to react, like an allergic reaction ,I would keep rinsing the face with cool water daily AND take an allergy pill, like Benadyrl or something like that, read the directions on the box !!! if redness and itching do not stop ,you would been wise to visit the E.R.
This sounds as though you had an allergic reaction to the cream. Wash your face well to remove all cream, then splash with cold water. This will help to sooth the irritated skin and any swelling that you may have. Pat dry. There are several products you can use to sooth the itching. Benydrl (or any cough syrup) can be taken orally. This will make the hives go away and stop the itching. It may also be applied topically (to the skin). Or, calamine lotion, or cortisol cream will also relieve the itching. Throw the cream out and in the future you will need to spot test in a small area (maybe on the back of your hand) to see if you develop a reaction to the cream, before applying to your face. Many creams have some of the same ingrediants in them, and since there is no way of determining which ingrediant caused you the rash, then it is important for you to do a skin test to make sure this doesn't happen again. Hope you feel better soon!
Use some Benadryl cream to get rid of the itch and some of the red, the do not use that acne cream again. You are allergic.
Oh, it's a allergical reaction to that cream! It's very painful indeed! try to wash with cold water and sloooowly wipe. Don't touch your face and never ever use that cream!
Ask the doc for a healing cream- never take one before asking the doc cause you can get a worse face
don't use obviously your face gets irritated by that creme
stop using it you have a allergic reaction use hydrocortisone cream to stop the itching and redness
Try gently patting your face with a warm washcloth for a few mins over the sink. The apply a light face moisturizer and don't touch your face the rest of the day.
If it is something like Retin A, that is normal. There is not much you can do but wait it out. Don't use it again until your face heals. Then, just use a little on a small spot. Before long, you will be able to use it without any problems. Your body adjusts to it and will not burn when you use it.
Sounds like an elergic reaction,Use moisturizer and let heal

What's the difference between day and night creams?
and is it harmful to use night creams during the day? What's the difference between day and night creams?
It's not harmful to use night cream during the day but they are generally richer, designed for make-up free skin to absorb nutrients while you sleep. They can be too heavy for constant use, day creams are normally lighterWhat's the difference between day and night creams?
no it's not harmful.
Day creams have spf and antioxidants 2 protect you thru out tha day and that's wut a day cream does...protect u from the sun pollution and other factors that can damage ur skin.U don't want 2 use day creams as night creams unless they dont have spf...it clogs ur pores as u sleep.
Night Creams dont have any spf or alot of anti-oxidants beacause u don't need them. Ur skin at night as well as ur whole body is repairing right now. So the ingredients in the night cream is to help w/ all the damage that has gotten 2 ur skin all day and repairing it.
Hope this helped
Some night creams may contain retinoids or salicylates which may cause sun burns if used during day time. Also they may not have spf and may be a bit oily.
I don't see why we cant use day creams at night though!

If you use day cream and night cream and get them mixed up how does the cream know the time of day?
hey its the 2000s brother. they prbly have little clocks built in the formula. lol.
I'm 22, do I need a night cream?
or do i use go by cleanse, tone, moisturize, wear sunscreen, and exfoliate weekly?
is it okay to use the same moisturizer both day and night?I'm 22, do I need a night cream?
As a qualifying beauty therapist, i would recommend the following. Firstly its NEVER 2 late 2 start lookin after your skin. I will advise you on basic skin preparation. You should be exfoliating once a week at least, depending on what type of skin you have. If you have a oily skin you should be exfoliating 3 times a week. You should also tone in the morning before you apply make up and at nite after you have removed make up 2 clear out your pores. And MOISTURIZE every single day and nite!! Just think of all the harmful envrionmental crap your skin comes into contact with every day (example pollution, the sun), it would thus be 2 your advantage to try these things out that ive suggested. To top off the moisturizer you should be applying sun screen 2 your face EVERY day. To block the sun's UV rays. Its also not a bad idea to use eye cream as well, because the eyes are usually the first areas that show sign of premature ageing!! Lastly, DO NOT USE SOAP ON YOUR FACE!!! i cannot emphasize this point enough!! 2 make a long complicated story short using soap on your face will leave the face open and prone 2 infections. Hope you trust my judgement and try out my suggestions, remember hardly anyone delivering their opinions are in the same field as i am.. Let me know how it goes!I'm 22, do I need a night cream?
Now is the time to take extremely good care of your skin. When you are much older, you'll be so glad that you did. You've got the right idea, as to what you should be doing. I use the same moisturizer both day/night. ( Oil of Olay Complete) I would definitely use a moisturizer at night after you thoroughly clean your face. Yes, wear sunscreen by all means. The higher the number the better. Remember to drink lots of water daily, as it's great for healthy skin, nails, %26amp; hair.
dont destroy your face. you still have a youthful look. you are way too young to be putting so many cehemicals in your skin. just simple it: wash it with a mild soap, used toner three times a week, and used a lite moustirizer. there are some moustizier that have sunscreen in them, so you can do two things with one product. and dont exfoliate so much.
i agree w/ the 1st person
Yes, do all that. Cleanse, tone and moisturize everyday, and exfoliate weekly. Using the same moisturizer both day and night is fine, but if your moisturizer have SPF, there is no point using it at night. Usually night cream is thicker than day cream because our skin absorbs the nutrients better when we are not doing anything. Even if you're lucky enough to not have zits and acne, it is still a wise thing to look after you skin.
Its always a GREAT idea to moisturize! Morning and night, and it's even a great idea to use it on your neck, and bust. It keeps all of your parts refreshed, glowing, and youthful!!
at the age of 19, you should start using the whole package of creams, day and night. cells die and rebuilt when you are asleep. the night cream as you know always comes quiet thick. it provides moisturizing and rebuilding, and purification.
I am a licensed esthetician. Use a light moisturizer everyday with at least an spf of 15. It will not hurt to use a night moisturizer as long as it does not contain chemicals. Active moist by dermalogica is GREAT. You should cleanse 2x a day, exfoliate once a week at your age, use a mask once a week and keep your skin moist always!
yes it is great to use a moisturiser day and night there are many causes of premature ageing such as rubbing of the eyes (even when removing make-up) smoking, but one that is something you cant change is exposure to sunlight so its important to moisturise your skin no matter how young you are to avoid premature ageing hope this helps.
is it okay to use the same moisturizer both day and night?I'm 22, do I need a night cream?

What is a good spot cream that works over-night?
For spots that have only just come up and are still red and painful...
I'd prefer to buy it from shops such as Boots or Superdrug...basically shops in the UK.What is a good spot cream that works over-night?
I find toothpaste works well but don't forget to wash it off before you go out in the morning! What is a good spot cream that works over-night?
Try spunk if you have a BF and your old enough.
I know this is not a cream but try toothpaste. It will stop the swelling over night. Yeah?, it sounds dafted but ive tried it and it works.
100% aloe vera gel....it works!
try The Body Shop tea tree oil range.
They do a 'rescue' cream that you put on at night - fab!
have you tried clean and clear that works wonders it got rid of all my spots in 4 hours
You know the Clearisal 3 day thing..................It does not work,
Lol Sorry to break it to you but its near impossible to get ride of a spot within a day..........
However if you have Acne , Oxy has by far the best creams, lotions
estee lauder acne fighting medication? its in a very small tealgreen bottle? it usually reduces size overnight.
toothpaste doesnt work overnight .didnt work for me.
but do go with the creams that the others are suggesting. i used clean and clear and its quite good.revlon hair dye

How expensive are Clarins night creams compared to other night creams?
clarins are a bit more high end than other mass market products . you will definitely have to shell out more money for clarins than you would for oil of olay or something. i think their night cream would cost about $65.
What is a good eye cream for night? ?
My eyelids and the skin under my eyes gets really dry and flaky and red, especially in the winter. Does anyone know of a good product ( affordable) for this? What is a good eye cream for night? ?
Try eye cream for aging prevention. You might not have wrinkles but generally creams for wrinkles are richer. In addition if the skin gets too dry, wrinkles form easier. I think L'oreal or Olay is good enough. What is a good eye cream for night? ?

I'm 20yrs W/ dry skin/i want to start using night cream but is it best to bath or just put it W/without bathin
Wash first to remove germs and dead skin cells, then apply the cream.I'm 20yrs W/ dry skin/i want to start using night cream but is it best to bath or just put it W/without bathin
It is best to bath before putting the night cream on. When you wash your skin you're not only washing away dirt but you're also washing away dead skin cells.I'm 20yrs W/ dry skin/i want to start using night cream but is it best to bath or just put it W/without bathin
bath first, so it doesn't clog your pores, and if you have sensitive skin as well as i do use cetaphil, it's great!
I don't think whether or not you bathe will make a difference. I have heard that really hot bathes/showers can dry our your skin. That may be something to consider. I have also heard that using baby oil after you get out of the bathe/shower is a good moisturizer.
Good Luck.

I just bought burts bees night cream with royal jelly and eye cream with royal jelly....?
any used this with good results? i have very dry flakey skin so i thought i'd try thisI just bought burts bees night cream with royal jelly and eye cream with royal jelly....?
The burt 's bees is good all on its own. It's a very good line. Try the burt 's bees first and if you feel it needs a combo, start adding royal jelly little by little so that you do not get a bad reaction.I just bought burts bees night cream with royal jelly and eye cream with royal jelly....?
I use Burts Bees royal jelly eye cream around the crows feet area only. I think it helps to moisturize this delicate eye area. I have been using it for a couple of years. I feel it helps to soften any lines and dry skin in that area.I do not know about the face cream.

Yeah, vodka is flavorless by definition. Having something vodka flavored would be impossible. On House last night. They had vodka flavor ice cream. Is there a recipe or some place you can buy it?

Day and Night Cream Suggestion Needed?
I am 25, my skin type is combination with some blemishes. I am wondering what kind of cream (not too pricy) should I use. And what is best eye cream for my age?
Thanks in advance!!! =DDay and Night Cream Suggestion Needed?
If you have combination skin I would suggest an oil free moisturizer (Dermologica Active Moist) which you can use day and night.. It is not the cheapest around 30.00, but some drugstore brands are that much. Dermalogica also makes an eye cream called (Total Eye Care) $25.00. It has spf 15 and has a slight tint that does wonders for under eye circles. Be sure to always use at least spf 15. Dermalogica is a professionally reccomended product. To find a salon/spa that carries Dermalogica go to www.dermalogica.com. Somtimes ebay carries these products at a lesser price. It is a very good thing that you are concerned about your skin early on, it will pay off three fold later in life. Just remember you get what you pay for.Day and Night Cream Suggestion Needed?
I use the New Avon cream called Am Pm... I love it. It comes in one container and it is so easy to use. It also has spf in it and that is great for your skin. If you need to know how to get it let me know. Lolo22483@yahoo.com

When appyling a pimple cream treatment at night, do I put it over or under my moisturizer?
I would put it under your moisturizer so that it is in direct contact. If you can, go without a moisturizer or just apply it in just your dry areas. That way your skin will air out and the pimple can dry out. When appyling a pimple cream treatment at night, do I put it over or under my moisturizer?

Is it ok to put diaper rash cream on a baby every night?
I put diaper rash cream on my baby every night since he was born so it could help pervent diaper rash. is that normal? should i just be using it if the baby has a rash or should i contintue doing what i am doing? thanks!!Is it ok to put diaper rash cream on a baby every night?
It probably won't hurt to put it on every night but there is no need to unless your baby has a diaper rash. My baby never had a diaper rash, I never put any diaper rash cream on her, she is just fineIs it ok to put diaper rash cream on a baby every night?
My doctor said it is fine to use A%26amp;D every day (the kind with zinc). Just make sure the baby's skin is totally dry before you put it on.
Diaper rash is not a normal condition. If your baby develops a rash rather than masking it with petroleum based creams, you are best to determine the cause of the rash and eliminate the source.
that would seem to me like over kill ,similar to placing too much chlorine in a pool ...... I would think that YES it is probably VERY harmful if you look at the chemical composition of the skin that needs beneficial bacteria, oxygen etc .... what does the packaging say about how often to apply to skin and possible side effects ..... etc .....
too much of anything can be harmful ....
The directions on that stuff say ' For the treatment and prevention of diaper rash'.
I always put it on kids to prevent them from getting it. It really helps if the kids are ever on meds that cause diarrhea (most antibiotics). We just used a little more. But, you should maybe ask your child's pediatrician if you are worried. I was told to 'Desitin away' but not everyone feels that way. :)
I wouldn't. Just like with anything, if you use it too much, it won't work when you need it to. I would use a little cornstarch or baby powder (and cover his nose while you do it) instead. That can be used daily, and wards off diaper rash.
Some parents use it all the time.
Unless your baby is prone to rashes I wouldnt use it all the time. We absorb things through our skin, and unless its a straight lanolin cream your baby is absorbing petrolium.
Thats just my personal practice, but like I said, each parent is different. Iam sure no child ever ailed from being slathered.
It is good at preventing rash as well as treating it. Keep doing it if you like as long as it is the Over the counter stuff and not prescription.
When my two kids were babies, my son had no diaper rash, but my daughter had it real bad, so, I didn't apply any on my son unless he had a momentary flare-up, but my poor daughter had it so bad that we tried so many different things and finally discovered ';A %26amp; D cream'; and it worked wonderfully. She was so sensitive that we needed to apply it dang near every day, after each diaper change. I'm glad, for her sake, that she eventually got potty trained and no longer had the diaper rash so bad. My kids are 22 and 23 years old now, but I remember her rash easily because the poor girl had it so bad. I wouldn't apply anything until your baby shows the need. God Bless you.
Diaper rash cream is perfectly ok to use every night. At night, the baby's skin is exposed to wetness longer and creates the perfect conditions for developing a rash. Using A%26amp;D cream or Desitin is the way to prevent a rash from occurring. You specifically state that you do this every night and so I wouldn't worry about the skin ';breathing'; or anything. Your baby is cream free all day and that is fine.
It is far preferable to have a doctor approved anti-rash cream on your child' skin than urine!
I raised 2 children and used Desitin every night. My doctor said there was nothing wrong with doing so.
Just use it when there is a rash present, and maybe a day or two afterwards to make sure its gone. Every night when there is no rash is not necessary. Your baby will have a happy butt in no time ! =)
try this home remedy. It works very well. mix corn starch and vasoline together and apply that. you'll see the inprovement overnight. we call it ';Mircle Whip';
There's not likely to be any harm in it, but you might as well stop and see what happens...
Nothing? Probably nothing. Shelve it for when a rash actually does show up.
You should be putting cream on your son during ever diaper change.
When we first brought my daughter home we were not using anything (especially baby powder), on her and she developed a nasty diaper rash. So now she is six weeks old and we use bagbalm. It is used for cow teats, but works great for curing diaper rash quickly, as well as craddle cap (it spread to her forehead). The only time we do not use the bagbalm is right after her bath as her little bottom is moist and it doesn't need that extra moisture.
I put it on my daughter every night. she has been sleeping through the night since she was 8 weeks old and that is a long time in a wet diaper.........I don't always put it on after a wet change.........But always at night and after every poop.
You could try babyNOrash!
Is a NATURAL remedy for baby skin,is really affordable and it works! http://www.bandak.com/index_sergio.html
If it's a medicated cream, you probably shouldn't use it daily, but an ordinary cream (eg zinc and castor oil) is fine to use as often as you feel is necessary.
If he doesn't have a rash i wouldn't use it. I only use it if my son gets a rash. But I don't think it would hurt.
I wouldn't put it on EVERY night.
If you are changing his diaper frequently he shouldn't have a problem with diaper rash. (Some babeis ARE just more prone to it though)
You can use vaseline as well, just to create a ';barrier.';
I don't *think* it will hurt anything. But as I said I wouldn't do it every night, just seems unnessecary.
I use cornstarch!

You can use vaseline as well, just to create a ';barrier.';
I don't *think* it will hurt anything. But as I said I wouldn't do it every night, just seems unnessecary.
I use cornstarch!
Should i be using a night cream?
i am aged 15 and have bought a clarins night cream but got a bit of a rash. my mom thinks it may be to harsh for me as i am so young.
and ideas?
thanksShould i be using a night cream?
you are too young to be wearing a night cream just yet. wait until you turn eighteen. this is the age women should start wearing night creams and anti-aging creams to ensure a youthful appearence at age sixty! wait a few more years, then perhaps try a different brand of product.
good luck! :DShould i be using a night cream?
Well if you got a rash it could either be because you're too young, or because your skin type. Maybe it's just too thick and it's clogging your pores or irritating your skin. So I would suggest not to put anymore on and make sure to wash your face, then put some Vaseline (white petroleum jelly it's also called) under your eyes. It can really help with rashes, or if that doesn't work, diaper cream is amazing. If it's soft enough for rashes on baby's bums, it soft enough for your face. Once your rash is gone you could try some light night cream that isn't so thick and heavy-maybe you could ask at the make up counter at Shopper's Drug mart so some store like that. Or you could just ditch the night cream-you might just be too young.
it seems you either had a minor allergic reaction to the ingredients of this product or you have very sensitive skin
i recommend you using simple or t- tree moisturisers and other products these tend to be gentle for the younger skin and are available in most boots or super drug stores
any age is a great time to start
but clarins is full of harsh chemicals which your skin might not be able to take
try an organic night cream instead

Is it okay to use day and night creams of different brands?
I was using a re-whitening day cream regularly, and then I recently bought a whitening night cream of a different company. I was wondering if I should drop the day cream, or is it okay to use it alongside as well??
I mean, one does need a moisturiser during the day, so why not? Its not gonna overdo with the whitening thing, is it? The ingredients added by different companies wont react or anything, would they?Is it okay to use day and night creams of different brands?
whatever brand turns you on - that's the one to use. Mixing them is ok, unless it specifically ';warns'; not to do that with a particular cream or somethin........... just always make sure that whatever it is you are doing or trying to accompish, don't overdo or end up regretful of your actions. Reading directions is always very beneficial on most things. good luck to ya.Is it okay to use day and night creams of different brands?
they is no problem
It is advised not to mix creams because they contain different amounts of different ingredients which may cause a reaction. Never tried it but this is what I heard on many reputable beauty sites and follow and I have no problem x

I just found a full jar of Nivea Night Cream I bought over a year ago, can I still use it?
It was in the back of my vanity, and I've never used it. It isn't sealed or anything. I think I bought it a year- year陆 ago...is it still okay to use it? I don't see any dates or anything on it and it's not greasy/weird looking. lolI just found a full jar of Nivea Night Cream I bought over a year ago, can I still use it?
i would say no... creams can spoil. even if it doesn't smell rancid, the formula can change after sitting for that long and not only is there a chance that it won't do it's job, but there is a chance that your skin won't react to it properly. if it was a regular body lotion i might say give it a try, but since its for your face, i'd just get a new one.I just found a full jar of Nivea Night Cream I bought over a year ago, can I still use it?
I wouldn't use it....... it isn't sealed, and creams do go bad.
Throw it out, buy a new one.
Actually still can be use but if you worry about the quality maybe you can use it as a hand lotion. Dont throw it cause really wasted.
yes !Only at night though.
i wouldn't use it... professionals suggest you through all creams and liquid makeup... whether used, new, half-full get thrown away after six months. bacteria grows preferably in products such as your cream. just throw it away, cut your loss, and buy a new one.
yes

Should I strain my sour cream over night before I make Taziki?
you should strain the yogurt
sour cream in tzatziki?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tzatziki Tzatziki or Tsatsiki (蟿味伪蟿味委魏喂; also transcribed jajiki) is a Greek meze, or appetizer derived from the Turkish cac谋k, also used as a sauce or dip. The Greek word is derived from the Turkish cac谋k, which means a form of chutney (Cacik, the Turkish side dish with similar ingredients, is more diluted). Tzatziki is made of strained yoghurt (which in Greece and Turkey is usually made of sheep or goat milk), cucumbers (either pureed and strained or seeded and finely diced), onion, and garlic for taste鈥攊n Greece this can be as much as a whole head of garlic for a large bowlful of tzatziki. It is usually seasoned with olive oil, a spoonful of vinegar, and diverse herbs including dill or mint. It is often served with pita bread as the first course of a meal, with black olives on top or served separately. It is one of the standard components of the Turkish d枚ner kebab or Greek souvlaki and gyros. In Cyprus the dish is known colloquially as talattouri, and recipes often include less garlic and more mint than the Greek counterpart.Should I strain my sour cream over night before I make Taziki?
No. Like it or not, tzatziki (that is the correct spelling) is made with yoghurt. So if you were to make something with sour cream, it wouldn't be tzatziki.Should I strain my sour cream over night before I make Taziki?
Don't use sour cream - Tzatziki is made with yogurt.
Tzatziki
(Cucumber and Yogurt Sauce)
1-2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoon vinegar
2-3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
300 gr (10.5 oz) natural (greek) yogurt
1 large cucumber, peeled and coarsely grated
1 tsp lemon juice
pinch dried mint
pinch dried dill
salt and pepper to taste
olives to garnish
Mix olive oil, vinegar and garlic in small bowl. Add yogurt
and mix well.
Drain the cucumber and add to yogurt with mint, salt and
pepper. Mix again. Chill mixture for 1-2 hours in refrigerator.
Garnish with a few black olives.
Serve lightly chilled with crispy slices of courgettes, or
slices of fried aubergines (eggplant). It can also be served
as an accompaniement to roast lamb or roast chicken.
tzaziki should be made with greek yoghurt, not sour cream.otherwise just plain yoghurt.its less fat and tastes more authentic.sour cream will make it too heavy.
Tzatziki (or cacik in Turkish, talatur in Bulgarian) is made with yogurt (Turkish yogurt), definitely not with sour cream or anything else. The main, essential ingredients are cucumber and yogurt. You can add crushed garlic, salt, decorate with olive oil, fresh or dried mint leaves etc. according to your taste. But never, never substitute anything for yogurt. If you do, you can call it something else, anything but cacik.
Thank your Poutine for your valuable contribution.
I would. The end result will be a much nicer and thicker dip. Essentially what you'll be doing it 'straining' the excess water and liquid in the sourcream leaving the remaining milk fat behind.
You have to remember to, that once you make your dip, especially if you are adding shredded cucumbers, there will be extra water from the cucumbers going into your recipe. If you don't strain your sourcream you'll probably end up with a really thin dip.
Good luck and enjoy!
No.. you should drain your yogurt.. and the cucumber as well. put some salt in the cucumber.. and soon it will be perfecto.
No, just stir before using it.

I switched over to all Aveeno products after my dermatologist recommended the line. It works great for dry skin and it doesn't use harsh chemical ingredients like salicylic acid. My favorite products are the body wash, body moisturizer, the facial cleanser, and the daily face moisturizer with SPF 15 (evens out my skin tone because my skin gets red easily)HELP! Can cream cheese icing be made in advance and kept in fridge over night?
it's my daughter's 1st birthday party tomorrow morning and i'm tryng to get as much done tonight as possible.
i've made carrot cupcakes, and am making cream cheese icing. can i make it tonight and ice them in the morning? HELP!Can cream cheese icing be made in advance and kept in fridge over night?
Absolutely!
Keep covered in the fridge and take out about an hour before you want to use it. Beat it once more with a mixer or vigorously with a spoon just before you want to use to return it to a soft, spreadable consistency.
Well done you for making your own instead of taking the easy way out and buying it from a store - Cheers! Can cream cheese icing be made in advance and kept in fridge over night?
Absolutely it will be fine (make sure you have a tight fitting lid on the container, and if not place plastic wrap right on top of the frosting before putting the lid on). Also, as has already been said, it needs to be at room temperature before you use it, or it will not spread well and will really tear-up your cakes up if you try.
Laughing ... I made carrot cakes for all three of my babies 1st birthdays, as we pretty much do not eat sweets (within reason!). Great choice, and I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Baby parties are the best.

Covered container, it should be fine :) Will have to let it go to room temp tho to frost tomorrow, it will be unspreadable for up to around 30 min or so.
yes you can make it in advance, you will have to give it a good stir as it will set in the fridge.
Yes. But...
...in the time it takes you to let it come to room temp to spread it, you could have made it fresh. You won't be able to spread it cold.
Yes it can but make sure you take it out of the fridge about one hour before you use it so it will be sprearable
hope the birthday party goes well!

WHAT IS A GOOD TONER & SKIN WHITENING CREAM & NIGHT CREAM?
I have very oily skin, which is prone to breakouts and blemishes. With that being said, any product that you choose to use will depend on your skin type. In addition, making a good choice will also depend on your age.
Skin toners are great at keeping your skin clear and your pores clean. Selecting one that will work for you will depend on your skin type because different types have differing needs.
Choosing a lightening product will ALSO depend on your skin type and then of course your budget. However a good skin care regimen ( in addition to good nutrition) will help to keep skin fresh and minimize the occurrences of dark spots.
Keep in mind in your search that no product should burn your face...Look for products that offer a money back guarantee.
If you need more specific assistance, I can help you choose with a little more information.

Does the ice cream man ever drive through your neighborhood playing ';Silent Night';?
I think the ice cream man has been smoking something. Why can't they ever play something good like ';Highway to Hell';?
What song do you want the ice cream man to play?Does the ice cream man ever drive through your neighborhood playing ';Silent Night';?
The Doors - Back Door ManDoes the ice cream man ever drive through your neighborhood playing ';Silent Night';?
I want to hear an ice cream man play the theme music to the Halloween movies.
I wish I had an ice cream truck. On oppressively hot days like this, I would spend my breaks in the back with the ice cream.
:)
No, the idiot wet back in my neighborhood comes through playing La Cucaracha wide open.
Next time I'm going Alamo on his @zz.
He frequently plays, ';When the Saints Go Marching In';
But my guess is that the truck is old because the music fades in and out of being in tune...sort of like a short-circuited carnival ride -_-
He plays the freakin theme from Popeye but I would loooove to hear For Whom The Bell Tolls, the guitar riff at the beginning would be super-duper-awesome:

The icecream man plays minute are the entertainer, thats about it.
Living after Midnight...Judas Priest
I hear Christmas music, Easter Parade, Buttons and Bows, all day long. I think we have about 5 of them going around all day and night.
I thought he was playing ';Hark! The Herald Angels Sing';.
Nina Hagen's cover of ';Spirit In The Sky'; (Gott im Himmel).
';The ice cream truck in my neighborhood plays Helter Skelter.';
-Steven Wright
Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing
hehe... probably twinkle twinkle little star hahaha...
Ice T ~ ';Let's Get Butt Naked and F*ck';
it's a children's classic.
N.W.A.'s ';She Swallowed It';.
Anything by Kampfar.....really loud
i wish i drove an ice cream truck. id make the little feckers run me down to get a little vanilla swirl
No they have songs like I have no idea but songs you don't find on the radio.
I think the ice cream man should play I like big butts.
the beverly hills cop theme??
ZZ TOP Tube Steak Boogie would work well.
Starstrukk-3OH!3

He frequently plays, ';When the Saints Go Marching In';
But my guess is that the truck is old because the music fades in and out of being in tune...sort of like a short-circuited carnival ride -_-
He plays the freakin theme from Popeye but I would loooove to hear For Whom The Bell Tolls, the guitar riff at the beginning would be super-duper-awesome:

The icecream man plays minute are the entertainer, thats about it.
Living after Midnight...Judas Priest
I hear Christmas music, Easter Parade, Buttons and Bows, all day long. I think we have about 5 of them going around all day and night.
I thought he was playing ';Hark! The Herald Angels Sing';.
Nina Hagen's cover of ';Spirit In The Sky'; (Gott im Himmel).
';The ice cream truck in my neighborhood plays Helter Skelter.';
-Steven Wright
Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing
hehe... probably twinkle twinkle little star hahaha...
Ice T ~ ';Let's Get Butt Naked and F*ck';
it's a children's classic.

What is a good eye cream that is inexpensive, also is eye cream necessary if I already use a night moisturizer
yes it is best to use eye cream also b/c its more for your eyes a regular moisturizer doesnt do much for your eyes. it brightens them much. i use the neatrogena eye brightening cream it really does work it helps REDUCE not eliminate the puffiness and dark circles it just over all brightens them, i use it day and night under my face moisturizer. i also use the neatrogena face cream its helped my skin much. What is a good eye cream that is inexpensive, also is eye cream necessary if I already use a night moisturizer
i am in my 20s and have tried lots of eye creams since i have worked in makeup and skin care. here are my faves for different budgets...
merle norman preventage firming eye cream with spf $24
and
avon ageless results renewing eye cream $12
check out the reviews on makeupalley.com
i apply mine in the morning before makeup, and at night before bed. it is best to use a separate eye cream since the skin around the eyes is more sensitive and delicate than the rest of your skin, and these creams are mafde specifically for those areas. What is a good eye cream that is inexpensive, also is eye cream necessary if I already use a night moisturizer
try putting two slices of cucumber. it really work and inexpensive.
u can try using nivea eye cream. my mother use it.
i think it's not really necessary, but if you want you can try l'oreal's cream, it's inexpensive and it works!
you know what? i just bought a classic nivea creme the one in a blue round tin and i used it as eyecream....then this morning, i noticed that it actually worked on making the fine lines under my eyes less obvious, and i mean me looking closer in the mirror! and yeah it's very cheap! the smallest one may cost more or less $1!

Hey i am confused? should i use night cream or day?
i sleep at 5-7 o clock morning, so before i sleep should i use night cream or day cream?Hey i am confused? should i use night cream or day?
You need to use a night cream whenever you are sleeping and not going out in the sun, and a day cream with at least spf 15 when you go out in the sun. If you work at night and hardly ever see the sun, you probably don't need to have spf in your day cream. If you sleep during the day, a night cream would work just fine.

Ice cream van comes through my communty at night with his music and everything, its dark out, 9:00pm, is this normal?Ice cream van comes through my communty at night?
Is the sun still out....THEN HELL NO.
They usually come between 12 Noon time to 5-7 pm.
I just recommend no children/everyone to go out at that time does not matter how safe you think your neighbor is.Ice cream van comes through my communty at night?
Well, it depends on your location. In my neighborhood, the latest it's ever come around was at 8:00 pm, but when I was visiting family in Texas, the ice cream truck came around at 10:00. I thought I was hearing things, but lo and behold, there it was. So, it all depends on the driver's schedule, really.
No, I would in fact say that hes lurking. But, go ahead, treat yourself to a nice cone ;)revlon hair dye

If I put on Jergens glow lotion for the face at night, can I put my retinol cream over it after it dries?
I put on the jergens glow lotion on my face. It has dried as it is well over one hour now. Can I put on my nighttime creme which contains retinol over it?? I want to stick to my bedtime ritual of putting on the retinol creme. If I put on Jergens glow lotion for the face at night, can I put my retinol cream over it after it dries?
I would think so because i apply a second moisterizer also after using jergens and i have no problem
Good luckIf I put on Jergens glow lotion for the face at night, can I put my retinol cream over it after it dries?
retinol should go directly on the clean skin
I would personally apply the retinol first..allow it to dry for sometime then apply the glow. Hopefully that way the retinol wont fade the glow lotions colour :)

When you have ';night cream'; or moisturizer, what if you work at night and sleep in the day? when would u use??
just wondering how that would workWhen you have ';night cream'; or moisturizer, what if you work at night and sleep in the day? when would u use??
Basically, since you work at night, that is your day and visa versa. The product manufacturers are simply trying to suggests its products best time of use for the general population. Since most people work during the day and sleep at night, they call it ';Night'; ....When you have ';night cream'; or moisturizer, what if you work at night and sleep in the day? when would u use??
I assume this is facial moisturizer, you don't say. When they say to apply at night they are going on the general rule of thumb that most (not all) people work during the day and sleep at night. .So if I were you, I would use the moisturizer after I wash my face before bed during the day.
Also I see the other reply, I don't know why you would need help applying it. Maybe I missed something?
Hope this helps.
just use it after the work or before sleep it is not necessarily to be use in night we say that just to avoid sun effect or luster's show by the way who help u applying the cream?

Sudden change intensive night repair eye cream?
does it actually work? i've used the garnier anti-eye puff roller stuff and it doesn't do much at all. this green tea product looks really pricy, especially for a little tube of cream, is it worth paying this much? i thought that maybe i could trust it because it isn't from a major makeup brand and is natural healthy stuff. or should i just accept the fact that no product works and live w/ dark bags under my eyes?Sudden change intensive night repair eye cream?
put 2 spoons in the freezer b4 you go to bed, in the morning, take them out and put them under your eyes.
another remedy is simply massaging your under eyes to break up the toxic fluid which is known as sags, from under your eyesSudden change intensive night repair eye cream?
peter thomas roth power k eye rescue works!!!!!
so does dr. brandt r3p
sudden change intensive didn't work for me- that's more for wrinkly skin that it tightens up... that garnier roller is a bunch of crap- i've tried everything under the skin and the power k eye rescue is the only thing that could possibly work
before you spend the $, you gotta do the simple things that no product could change....
-drink 8 glasses of water a day (no cola, no tea, no coffee)
-get 8 hours of sleep a day

Do I need to apply night face cream right befor going to bed?
It is better to, that way you arent walking around and getting more germs and dirt on your face, becasue that would make the night face cream useless... oh and it also helps to make sure you change your pillow cases a lot, because if you dont shower before you go to bed, all of the dirt and oil from yoru hair are getting on your pillow cases, and getting on your face while you sleep, which would also make the cream useless.Do I need to apply night face cream right befor going to bed?

Hi, has anyone tried the Mario Badescu Caviar Day Cream and Caviar Night Cream? And did it work? I'm trying to look for an alternative to my Creme De La Mer coz it is too expensive and it didn't really work that well. So any comments about the Caviar Day or Night cream by Mario Badescu? Mary Kay Satin Hands Night Cream???
Does anyone know if you're supposed to actually rinse off the night cream? Or is it supposed to take place of the lotion. I just can't tell.Mary Kay Satin Hands Night Cream???
Night creams do not need to be washed off.
It's recommended best to put them on right before bed, in addition, to use cloth gloves (you can find at any drugstore) after you've applied lotion to lock in the moisture and have the cream work to its best ability.
I would say it could take the place of the lotion you use before bed at night on your hands, but depending on where you live (climate/altitude) and how much you use your hands, it shouldnt take the place of lotion you use throughout the day on your hands.Mary Kay Satin Hands Night Cream???
I love that stuff...lol! it actually does not need to be washed off..it takes the place of the lotion!
Actually you leave the night cream on to take the place of your daily lotion. You also gotta try satin lips. It makes your lips so smooth they practically roll right off of each other- lol!

If you are talking about the steps to the Satin hands set
1 extra emollient night cream rub all over hands
wet hands slightly
wash with peach smoothie ( unless you are using an older set )
rinse and put on hand cream
Some people use the night cream for real dry patches face, heals elbows make sure not to use too much it is a little thick and can be greasy if you use too much.

Weat to put Burt's Bees night cream?
OKay so i bought this Burt's bees night cream and day cream..If anyones ever used it beffore..where do i put it? Under my eyes? I know i put it somewhere on my face..Weat to put Burt's Bees night cream?
You can certainly call the company for a definitive answer on this. But, unless a cream is specifically for the eyes, I never put it on the skin around the eyes because that skin is much more sensitive than the other skin on the face. I have noticed that some face creams say on their labels not to apply them near the eyes. The safest bet would be to use it on the cheeks, forehead, chin and neck.Weat to put Burt's Bees night cream?
You should apply Burt's Bees Night Cream all over your face. You should put it on after cleansing your face thoroughly first thing in the morning and before bed. If all else fails, read the instructions.
All over your face.
Good Luck

It depends on the type of skin you have, and how sensitive/receptive your skin is to certain products. Aim for product that are hypoallergenic, or for sensitive skin so avoid irritation. Nivea has good creams that are thick but not too greasy, and are good for dry skin. You should also get an exfoliant to rid the dead skin on the surface of your face, and so that the cream can absorb better. Hand washing is important because you don't want to introduce any bacteria left on your fingers to your clean face. The night time is important for skin care since that's when your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself. That's why it's important you clean throughly so that your skin can absorb the cream. If anything you can as the csmetician or skin care specialists that they have at most counters now.revlon hair dye

If anything you can as the csmetician or skin care specialists that they have at most counters now.
I'm 19, should i use firming night cream to make my skin look more healthy?
i had acne problems so i used clean n clear and neutrogena acne cleansers...and now i feel my skin has become unevenly toned and dry and a lil saggy...i can see lines near my nose and lips....should i use night firming creams....i dont want to use age defying things...because my skin is sensitive and i dont want my acne to come back.....I'm 19, should i use firming night cream to make my skin look more healthy?
At your age I would not use a night creams because they have too many emollients and are too heavy for your skin. You are correct you might end up breaking out more. The lines around the nose are probably due to the use of the acne cleansers. Why don't you try using a Cetyphil or Purpose which are mild cleansers and won't irritate the skin. Purpose also make a moisturizer (Redness Reducing Moisturizer) that has SPF 30 and its non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). My son that has acne uses it and its great. When you use any type of cream or sunscreen make sure that they are PABA-free and non-comedogenic. Always wear sunscreen or a moisturizer with SPF 30 before leaving the house even on a cloudy day. This is the time to take care of your skin avoid the sun and don't over cleanse this throws off the PH of your skin causing sometimes more break outs. Also drinks lots of water, avoid sugar and try to each fish with Omega-3, such a salmon. You will see the change in your skin.I'm 19, should i use firming night cream to make my skin look more healthy?
Try a healthy diet and drinking lots of water every day. Oh, and avoid the sun.
That's the only thing that will lead you healthy skin.

I have it too....its summer so if the suns out you should be to as it helps clear it up. Try and not scratch it and if you NEED to then try and rub it or not stick your nails to far in. Moursterise every night with a non scented mosteriser. It will be soore at first but after about 10days it will helpI have eggzuma and the cream hurts the eggzuma whont stop iching it been itching all night what should i do?
ezcema shouldn't be scratched lightly tap it if you want but it only makes it worse, the cream will sting but thats a good sign
You should go to a doctor so you can advice on what to do, and find a better cream that doesn't hurt
you scratch it...
I used to have egzema as well, and I suggest going to the dermatologist for it. They will give you a cream to help it go away. Wear long sleeves and pants to keep yourself from itching it as well.
my name is michelle and i also have eczema..lol...you should put on the cream and to cool off the area, put on baby powder...or any other type of powder..
Sarna you can get it at a pharmacy. It's the only thing we found to stop the itching for our 5 year old grand daughter. It doesn't burn going on either! A little expensive, but it works. Also, cold/wet compresses work short term too.
Hahahah EGGZUMA. Typical spelling mistake.
Maybe your using the wrong cream. Sometimes when you put the cream it itches a lot more then it all goes away after a while. that happens with me sometimes.
learn to spell
Eggzuma sounds really bad...maybe you mean eczema.
I Really Don't Know Why . I Have It To I Usually Put Vaseline On Mine...
It is itching because there is no cream that treats eggzuma. It is eczema, don't you wish you didn't drop out of high school.
Maybe when you went to the doctor to complain about eggzuma, he thought you meant eczema, and gave you the wrong cream. Call him and demand eggzuma cream.
this is weird but carmex worked on mine.
that happened to me when i was younger turned out that i was alergic to the cream...i then got steroid cream and that heeled it straight away and i have'nt had it since but it has to be prescribed by the doctor so i would advise you to go there:)
whatever you do, don't scratch it
its going to itch, just try to ignore it. Put the cream on, but when your not using it put aloe vera gel on you hands, some people say it sooths it. Peppermint oil works too.
It is eczema.
i also, honestly have exema. Do you have prescription cream? You should go to a dermatologist. It will burn at first but it will heal, you have to restrain yourself
First of all STOP scratching - or the itch-scratch cycle will not stop (yes there really is such a thing!)
make sure your cream is steroid based - like hyderm or betaderm (do not use on face) at at least 1% hydrocortisone.
It will take a couple days for that to start working on the eczema after you STOP scratching so you can combat the itch in the meantime by using benadryl tabs - or the generic and less expensive pills called diphenhydramine.
All available OTC
Good Luck!
i also have exima on my arms well i showed it to the doctor or use the benadryl cream it worked. :D
eggzuma haha.
i had it and now im ok
first of all you need to go for a checkup with a doctor
then u can get a right drug for ur allergy (eczema is a kind of allergy)
i recommand u a book
here is the link in amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/Med-Express-Overco鈥?/a>
i read this book and it was helpfull....
also a kind of drugs like ';loratadin'; or ';kelmastin'; can give help to u but the most usefull and very good treatment is using injections such az teriamsinolon groups once a year..im under this treatment and thats cool
but first consoult with ur doctor
I don't know if you are using your prescribed cream to help eczema or if you are using an itch cream. I suggest using a cream to help stop the itch. They make spray to stop the itch too.
I had eczema several years ago and like you had problems with the cream the dr gave me. I finally got some old fashion udder balm (found at Wal Mart or a farm store) and used it. It really helped with the irritation. It comes in a green tin.
Get some muslin or something similar and wrap a couple of handfuls of porridge oats in the muslin. Run a bath with the bag of oats under the water. Have a bath :)
The oats are excellent for nourishing and moisturising the skin.
Eczema can drive you nuts, been there done that. What has worked wonderful for me over the years is a creme called Hydrocortisone Cream 1% and available in any drugstore. Buy the generic version (store brand) also with ';Plus 12 Moisturizers'; at a Rite Aid store brand, its less expensive.
Put a dab on the spot as soon as you dry off from a shower and rub it in. Your skin is much more pliable and soft after a shower. Also put it on just before you go to bed at night.
3 days and you'll start to see it heal. If you use it consistantly and it does not go away then its time to see a Dermatologist. (skin doctor)
PS Do NOT buy any soap products or any bath soaking products, they will dry out your skin and make it worse.
I used to have eczima but i grew out of it but i used to use aqueous cream you could get a big tube of it also i never done this but apparently it works - you can have a hot bath with oats in. I hope you get betta
Accupuntue is helping my psoriasis. Weird but results are good
Wear clothes that keep you 4rm stracthing it go to cvs or where ever and buy avenno no itch cream its n a blue ans cream colored tube if you start useing that it should help your itch also buy the avenno soap bar the box should be around the same color as the tube if the avenno products don't work try cepetcul I think thsts how u spell it but the jar is lyk a shinny light tan color and the label is light green and blue there products also work good but may bry out your skin so don't over use
First of all, it's spelled eczema. You don't say what kind of creme you're using. Lanacort, or some kind of cortisone creme helps and doesn't hurt. What hurts is the open sores that have been scratched. Try using Antibiotic ointment at bed time and cover it, then use the creme in the morning The ointment will help heal the sores. I've gotten eczema on my hands. Anytime I handle tomatoes (except Roma's) I get it.
